The Tellico Hummer Meet
'Rock Gardens' were abound...this one on Trail Four offered vertical
projections than 'other' trucks would have easily snagged with their
diffs or axles....and the slick mud and incline made spotters
and helpers a welcome commodity.
In a relatively new '96 green soft top, Forrest Bowen, our fearless trail
leader on Saturday first tackled this narrow ravine with a banking
maneuver before sliding into it and wedgeing against a rock. He wasn't
stuck....but it was decided to winch him sideways away from the rock to
break up the rock with a mattox. Forrest then continued on through
widening it a bit for the rest of us. Thanks Forrest!!!
After Forrest Bowen widened this ravine a bit the rest of the group could squeeze through as
demonstrated by this white wagon. There were possibly a few paint samples left behind here....and
note the Jeep eating rocks in the foreground.
